Buff
Buff is a common color in many areas. As the colour has good
camouflage qualities in the
natural environment in dry climates where
sand and
soil are often buff-coloured, it is also widespread in the
animal kingdom. The word buff appears in the name of several
species with this color, such as the
Buff-breasted Sandpiper and the
Buff-bellied Pipit.The flags of the United States states of
Delaware and
New Jersey include the colour buff.The U.S. Army's Institute of Heraldry has, innovatively, included buff as a
tincture in some of its coats of arms. This is because buff is the traditional color of the
U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps.The colors of athletic team uniforms at
George Washington University and
Hamilton College are buff and
blue.Buff is a commonly used grout pigment in
masonry.

Fawn
The fawn color is mistaken sometimes to be blue. These are very different genes. The fawn color is achieved by breeding together dogs that carry the dilution gene either in it's homozygous or heterozygous form, and the chocolate gene. Black to black, or black to red, or red to red, or a black to blue, or blue to red can produce a fawn colored offspring. The fawn color is the result of two recessive genes, therefore,the pup could be affected with Alopecia (a skin condition). Not all are, but many do have some form of a skin or coat condition.It is HIGHLY unadvisable to ever breed a fawn to another fawn. The color can be achieved by breeding the darker colors with correct gene pairing,so there is no need to take a chance by breeding together two recessive genes.

Khaki
The color khaki comes from the
Persian word khak (through
Urdu), meaning dust, and khaki meaning dusty, dust covered or earth colored. It has been used by many armies around the world for
camouflage uniforms. Most notably, khaki was used by the
British Army in India in 1848. The original khaki fabric is a closely twilled cloth of
linen or
cotton.

Tangerine is a shade of orange that resembles the
